improving the economy through properly managed development.

Down East
RC&D is...
- Local people working together to complete actions
that wisely utilize the area’s resources and enhance the lives of
area residents.
- Local people working together to set their own
priorities and help themselves.
- Supported by a national program of the US
Department of Agriculture and administered by the Natural Resources Conservation
Service.
- A 'Grass Roots' organization! The RC&D
area is managed by a volunteer council. Active resource committees
provide for extended participation by people with diverse interests.
- Comprised of partners made up of numerous local
organizations that all strive to optimize conservation and
development efforts. Collaboration is the key!
